What a great year! Thanks to all of you for
all you do
here at Rocky Bayou Stables. We have had many new riders start
their journey with horses this year and we look forward to
helping each of you grow in your horsemanship skills.
A few
changes have been made around the barn to improve our riding
program. We are happy to have added some new horses to
our lesson program. We are also glad to have our two
instructors with us, Mrs. Erin, and Mrs. Anne. The
instructors are working together to minimize rescheduled lessons
due to an instructor being out of town. All instructors will be
implementing our riding curriculum that identifies specific
riding and knowledge goals that must be completed prior to
moving up within the lesson program. All students are
encouraged to pick up a copy of our riding program in the office
to help set goals for this year.
Each year we
have a great time at both our summer and winter horse camps.
However, we feel that our biggest success was our Fall Horse
Show for our students! Everyone did such a great job and
ribbons were won by all. We look forward to all upcoming events
at the barn to include, spring, summer and winter camps as well
as our spring and fall horse shows. We would like to try to
incorporate more riding programs for all ages such as a Women’s
Coffee Ride, and educational clinics. We welcome any
suggestions you may have for new ideas that we may implement.
